Job summary

US Foods, Inc. is seeking a Transportation Manager to lead CDL-A driver teams on a Monday–Friday schedule with mid-shift start and occasional early-morning or after-hours during onboarding.

You will coach drivers, ensure DOT compliance, and drive safety, performance, and cost-effective solutions while maintaining a zero-accident mindset. The role requires at least three years managing CDL-A drivers, strong leadership and data skills, and willingness to travel up to 10% to meet training and

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in transportation/delivery or warehouse distribution.
• Minimum of one year of experience overseeing a workforce.
• Experience as a driver is a plus.
• Broad knowledge of transportation/delivery operations, methods and procedures.
• Strong leadership, communication and people development skills.
• Strong understanding of DOT requirements, inventory control and OSHA.

Responsibilities

• Lead with a safety mindset to keep associates, customers and the public injury-free.
• Coach drivers and transportation staff, train on policy, supervise performance.
• Develop teams, hire, review performance and address gaps.
• Monitor production goals, ensure accuracy and DOT compliance.
• Identify waste, improve processes and respond to issues in deliveries.
