Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Houma, LA seeks an experienced Transportation Manager to oversee all aspects of the transportation function in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment.

You will select drivers, route deliveries, ensure safety and DOT compliance, manage Transportation Supervisors, and partner with the Warehouse Manager to maximize route profitability and on-time performance.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years transportation experience with knowledge of DOT regulations.
• Team lead or supervisory experience.
• Valid driver's license; Class A CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Transportation Supervisors and drivers to ensure safe, efficient deliveries and maintain customer satisfaction.
• Manage day-to-day delivery operations, payroll, reports, and fleet systems; monitor DOT logs and safety policies.
• Prepare annual transportation budget and analyze costs; coordinate financial reporting and equipment needs.
• Coordinate with Warehouse Manager to maximize operation efficiency and route profitability.
• Schedule deliveries and routing daily, including backhauls, and ensure DOT compliance and safety.
