Job summary

US Foods in Marrero, LA is seeking a Manager, Fleet to oversee fleet maintenance, safety, and cost control, leading technicians and coordinating with transportation and warehouse teams.

You will hire, train, and evaluate technicians; manage purchasing, warranties, budgeting; ensure compliance with DOT, Hazmat, and OSHA; and deliver weekly and annual reports. The role requires strong leadership and a focus on safety and service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of fleet equipment experience.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of DOT, Hazmat, and OSHA regulations.
• Thermo King and Major certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of fleet maintenance and safety program.
• Lead to create a safety-focused culture for all associates and drivers.
• Interview, hire, and train fleet technicians; schedule schooling and certifications.
• Manage purchasing, warranties, and parts; oversee annual budget.
• Produce weekly, period, and yearly performance reports and OOS metrics.
