Job summary

ShipBob, Inc. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support transportation initiatives and build forecasts, variance analyses, and board materials. You will partner with the FP&A and Transportation teams to forecast, set targets, and measure ship cost performance across the company.

You will prepare operating plans, monthly/quarterly reports, and margin analyses while communicating insights to senior management and investors. A hybrid schedule at headquarters is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, Finance or related degree.
• 3–5 years of experience in FP&A or related field.
• Ability to work a hybrid schedule in our Chicago office.
• Excellent financial modeling skills and understanding of financial statements.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with stakeholders.
• High comfort level with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Working knowledge of NetSuite, Smartview, SQL, PowerBI, and Power Query is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete thorough analysis on transportation initiatives each month and communicate key performance drivers and variances to plan to senior management.
• Collaborate with partners to strategize and report on weekly performance, especially related to Transportation.
• Manage relationships with Transportation team to build bottoms up forecasts and provide risks and opportunities.
• Support the development and implementation of models and processes for new strategic transportation initiatives.
• Prepare the annual operating plan by engaging with the Transportation team to build plans and targets and convert to budget.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting presentations for investors and the board highlighting key metrics and trends.
