Job summary

ShipBob, Inc. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Finance team supporting transportation initiatives and building forecasts, variance analyses, and board-ready materials.

You will partner with Transportation and FP&A to enhance ship margin analysis and forecasting while driving strategic projects and ad-hoc analyses. Expected to collaborate across departments, communicate key drivers to senior management, and help steer improvements in our budgeting and reporting processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related field.
• 3-5 years FP&A or related experience.
• 3PL or relevant transportation experience required.
• Excellent financial modeling skills and understanding of financial statements.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Complete thorough analysis on transportation initiatives each month for senior management.
• Collaborate with partners to report weekly performance related to Transportation and margins.
• Manage relationships to build bottoms up forecasts and identify risks and opportunities.
• Develop and implement models for new strategic transportation initiatives.
• Prepare the annual operating plan with targets and translate to the budget.
• Create monthly/ quarterly investor and board presentations with key metrics.
• Provide margin analysis and insights to business partners.
• Improve models and processes using professional knowledge and company objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement and automation in existing files and processes.
• Work with management to improve strategic execution and investments.
