in Georgia is seeking a Transportation Manager II to supervise midsize driver teams, ensure safe and on-time freight movement, assign loads, and maintain DOT compliance while coordinating with customers and internal staff for planning, routing and delivery. You will build relationships with drivers and safety staff, cover for absences, analyze fleet profitability, manage payroll, maintenance, and reporting, and respond to service issues across day, night and weekend

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 2-3 years in transportation/logistics or equivalent military experience.
• Ability to work across multiple shifts including nights and weekends.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong multitasking and analytical abilities; proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain driver relations to minimize turnover and improve productivity.
• Assign loads and plan routes to ensure on-time service and safe operations.
• Coordinate with maintenance for preventative maintenance and safety issues.
• Manage payroll, reporting, and administrative duties related to transportation operations.
• Respond to service issues and customer requests throughout the day, including on-call coverage.
