Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 2-3 years of experience in transportation/logistics or related field.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with internal and external partners.
• Experience in delivering commitments, open communication, and continuous improvement.
• Accurate information processing and sound judgment for decisions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and travel to account locations as needed.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
• Experience holding people accountable and handling difficult conversations.
• Ability to perform under stress in a high-pressure work setting.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive relationships with drivers and safety to minimize turnover and maximize productivity.
• Fill in for absent personnel and support special projects to optimize fleet operations and profitability.
• Train and orient drivers and staff, including internal and third-party systems.
• Analyze fleet operations, measure KPIs, and present financial reporting to customers.
• Manage inventory, assets, and driver assignments to balance equipment in market.
• Handle payroll, driver coaching, accident reviews, invoicing, and reporting.
• Oversee yard tasks, maintenance scheduling, and safety-related repairs for account equipment.
• Collaborate with drivers, customers, and staff to resolve service, routing, and pay issues.
• Uphold safety culture with daily/periodic safety messages and training; ensure DOT compliance.
• Assign loads, plan routes, monitor freight, and adjust ETAs as needed.
