Job summary

Werner Enterprises, Inc. in Dallas, TX is seeking a fleet supervisor to build and maintain driver relationships while coordinating loads with our Dedicated and Associate Logistics teams.

You will collaborate with billing, customer service, safety and other departments to optimize driver loads, ensure on-time performance, and maintain a full driver board.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree or 2–3 years of fleet management and supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 2–3 years fleet management experience preferred.
• Six months to one year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, proven management ability, and skill in operating a computer terminal and satellite communications system required.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain driver relationships to meet driver needs.
• Partner with Logistics Managers to optimize loads based on origin, destination, freight type, miles, stops, and driver availability.
• Understand and adhere to customer dynamics and Werner goals to improve value for the Customer and Werner.
• Interface with billing, vans, customer service, risk, safety, payroll, fuel, maintenance, and external vendors.
• Work with the Dedicated Logistics Manager and/or Operations Manager to fill and maintain a full driver board.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Dedicated Logistics Manager.
• Timely and regular attendance according to the scheduled shift.
