Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a Transportation Supervisor at our Boise terminal to lead drivers, create schedules, and optimize routes for safe, reliable deliveries. You will work with fleet maintenance, monitor daily operations, and ensure DOT and safety compliance.

Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills are essential. The role emphasizes safeguarding driver performance, improving efficiency, and delivering excellent customer service in a fast‑paced distribution

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
2–5 years in distribution, logistics, or transportation with leadership experience.
CDL Class A or B license and current medical card preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide daily work direction to professional drivers to ensure safe and efficient operations and to meet customer requirements.
Monitor daily activity to adjust load assignments and communicate with DFA locations and customers.
Maintain routes and utilize routing software to improve efficiency and control costs.
Create and approve driver schedules, manage timekeeping, and monitor overtime.
Ensure all load paperwork is complete for reports, inspections, and billing.
Prepare operational KPI reports and build positive relationships with customers and staff.
Collaborate with fleet maintenance to keep equipment in good working order.
Train and coach drivers on procedures, safety, and performance expectations.
