Job summary

Meadow Gold Dairy is seeking a transportation supervisor to lead drivers at the Boise terminal. You will create schedules, optimize routes, monitor day-to-day operations, and ensure DOT compliance, safety, and high service standards.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and experience with routing software. Ability to respond to emergencies and work with HR and maintenance teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 to 5 years in distribution, logistics, and/or transportation with leadership experience.
• Union environment experience is preferred.
• Class A or B CDL with ability to obtain Class A license; must have current medical card.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily work direction to professional drivers to ensure safe and efficient operations and to meet customer requirements.
• Monitor daily activity and adjust load assignments and instructions; communicate with drivers, dispatch, and other locations.
• Maintain routes and use routing software to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Create and manage employee schedules; approve time and handle overtime.
• Ensure all daily paperwork for loads is completed (mileage reports, DOT logs, maintenance, billing, delivery tickets).
• Prepare and distribute operational KPI reports.
• Build positive relationships with customers and internal teams to optimize service.
• Hold drivers accountable for professional conduct and safety; assist in issue resolution.
• Coordinate with fleet maintenance to ensure equipment is cared for.
• Provide training and coaching to drivers; conduct safety audits and performance reviews.
• Collaborate with HR on recruitment, coaching, and development programs.
