Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) is seeking a Driver Supervisor to oversee assigned drivers and hauling operations at the terminal. You will balance safety, customer service, and operational excellence while coordinating with dispatch and other DFA locations.

The role requires a CDL A license, 5 years in distribution/logistics, and leadership experience. Expect a PM shift with on-call duties and collaboration with HR and maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5 years of distribution, logistics, and/or transportation experience, including 2 years in lead capacity.
• CDL A license required (obtain within 180 days if not current).
• Tanker endorsement within 180 days of employment.
• Doubles/triples endorsement as required.
• Milk sampler/hauler license (state issued) required or obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise assigned drivers and hauling at the DFA terminal.
• Create and execute hauling plans with dispatch; monitor daily operations.
• Schedule employees, approve time, resolve payroll issues, monitor overtime.
• Coordinate with other DFA locations and reconfigure driver assignments as needed.
• Ensure safety via training, coaching, and audits for PMO and DOT compliance.
• Maintain daily paperwork and data for quality control and billing.
• Collaborate with Human Resources on recruitment and training programs.
• Work with maintenance to ensure equipment is properly cared for.
• Respond to emergencies and on-call rotations as required.
