Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to oversee assigned drivers at the Boise terminal. You will develop schedules, optimize routes, and implement solutions for delivery challenges while promoting safety and operational excellence.

The role requires leadership in directing drivers, coordinating with dispatch, and maintaining compliance with DOT and other regulations. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–5 years in distribution, logistics, and/or transportation with leadership experience.
• Union environment experience preferred.
• Certification and/or License required.
• Class A or B CDL in state required; willingness to obtain Class A.
• Current medical card required.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily work direction to professional drivers to ensure safe and efficient operations and to meet customer requirements.
• Monitor daily activity and adjust load assignments and delivery instructions as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date routes and use routing software to improve efficiency and lower costs.
• Create and approve driver schedules, timekeeping, and overtime actions.
• Ensure daily paperwork is completed for each load, including DOT reports and logs.
• Prepare and distribute operational KPI reports.
