Job summary

Infrastructure Consulting & Engineering, LLC is seeking Construction Inspectors to support Virginia highway projects. The role involves inspecting all phases of construction and ensuring quality according to plans and specifications, under supervision.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, experience with VDOT specs, ability to read plans, perform field measurements, maintain records, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with VDOT specifications, standards and manuals preferred.
• Ability to use project management software and MS Office suite.
• Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record required.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Monitor contractor work to ensure quality control and contract compliance.
• Inspect field activities including excavations, drainage, road surfaces, and structures.
• Document contractor production rates and daily diaries.
• Coordinate inspection phases with contractor and agency personnel.
• Review materials tests and field measurements for compliance.
• Maintain project records and as-built plans; track pay quantities and estimates.
