Job summary
STV Incorporated in Richmond, VA seeks Construction Inspectors to join our Transportation Division. You will support our Construction Management and CEI practice on major transportation projects, inspecting highway, bridge, rail, and tunnel work and reading plans and specs.
Daily travel to sites is required; valid VA driver's license, ability to lift 50 pounds, and outdoors work in all weather are expected.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of construction inspection experience.
- Ability to obtain listed certifications within 6 months at no cost to candidate.
- Proficient reading and interpretation of plans and specs.
Responsibilities
- Perform construction inspection activities on highway, bridge, rail or tunnel projects.
- Monitor contractor compliance with plans and specifications.
- Prepare daily inspection reports and perform on-site material testing.
- Maintain safety practices and effective communication with project staff.
