Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–7 years of relevant experience in materials, standards and specs for VDOT projects and facilities.
• Knowledge of roadway, structure and bridge construction/maintenance/rehabilitation methods.

Responsabilités

• Monitor contractor work for quality control and contract compliance on roadway, structure, and bridge projects.
• Inspect and document field work including excavations, drainage, road surfaces, and structures.
• Review placement of and tests on construction materials; observe daily production rates.
• Maintain project records (diaries, pay quantities, monthly estimates).
