Cowan in Baltimore is seeking a Business Development Director to craft strategic plans for new customers, grow relationships, and boost revenue and profitability. You will develop and execute action plans to close new deals and drive growth.

The role requires leading negotiations, coordinating with solution design and service teams, and managing accounts with CRM. Expect travel up to 75% and a base salary around six figures plus commission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Minimum of six years of sales experience preferred.
• Transportation industry experience.
• Financial management skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and DMV record standards.
• Able to travel 50-75% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and develop new business opportunities through prospecting and planning.
• Coordinate development of client solutions with teams and owners.
• Prepare and lead contract negotiations for new business.
• Follow-up on lead generation through sales calls.
• Validate deals and manage ongoing interactions with customers.
• Ensure timely account management and effective use of CRM.
