Veterans Transportation Service within the Veterans Healthcare Administration in Portland, OR is seeking a Transportation Assistant - Transportation Coordinator to coordinate connections and scheduling, document travel information, and collect and track data daily. The role contributes to planning and directing a program that provides critical support services for veterans’ travel needs.

The position requires demonstrated specialized experience at the GS-5 level, with responsibilities including

The employee serves as a Transportation Assistant - Transportation Coordinator within the Veteran Transportation Service (VTS) located at the Veterans Healthcare Administration in Portland, OR. To qualify for this position, applicant(s) must meet at least one of the following qualification requirements.

Specialized Experience: You must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level(GS-5) in the Federal Service that has given the you the particular knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform the duties of a Transportation Assistant - Transportation Coordinator. Qualifying specialized experience includes performing transportation support duties such as coordinating connections/scheduling, documenting travel information; collecting, compiling, and tracking data on a daily basis; Performs a basic analysis of data and generates a variety of reports; entering data into automated tracking data bases; and planning and directing a program that provides support services. NOTE: Experience must be fully documented on your resume and must include job title, duties, month and year start/end dates AND hours worked per week.
