Job summary

Ameren Transmission is seeking an Engineering and Construction Supervisor (Transmission) to oversee vendor-based construction of electric transmission lines and substations, ensuring safety, quality and on-time project delivery.

Requirements include a BS in Engineering, Professional Engineer license preferred, 5+ years in transmission, distribution or project management, and proven leadership. Travel may be required; the role includes a competitive compensation package and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• BS Engineering from an accredited school is required.
• PE license preferred; PMP/CCM/CPC preferred.
• Five+ years of transmission, distribution, or project management experience.
• Supervisory or team/contractor leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite field management and coordination for transmission projects.
• Perform construction management independently across all aspects.
• Lead safety and quality audits and document observations.
• Monitor daily construction activities, manage manpower and equipment.
• Convey specifications to contractors and ensure compliance.
• Run regular progress meetings and track schedule, budget, scope.
• Support critical path scheduling with project managers.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and environmental procedures.
