Job summary

Ameren is seeking a Contractor Services Supervisor (Transmission) to oversee vendor-based transmission line and substation crews. You will ensure adherence to contracts, safety rules, and Ameren policies while coordinating with customers and stakeholders.

The role requires strong leadership and project-management skills, with travel as needed for projects and emergencies. A bachelor’s degree is preferred and five-plus years in relevant electric transmission or supervisory roles is expected.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of relevant experience in electric transmission or electric distribution
• Or five or more years in a heavy industrial or military environment with at least three years in a supervisory/leadership role
• Journeyman line or journeyman substation experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide input to project planning and design.
• Manage, develop, and evaluate contractor crews engaged in construction, maintenance and inspection of electric system facilities.
• Set clear performance expectations including safety and quality through observations and audits.
• Schedule, assign, and direct work safely, efficiently and in accordance with contracts.
• Maintain contact with contractor supervision to assess manpower and material needs.
• Monitor budgets and schedules to ensure projects complete on time and within budget.
• Document scope changes and provide project updates as required.
• Coordinate activities with customers, contractors, stakeholders and other departments.
• Enforce WPA, LOTO and safety rules and conduct Safety Observations.
• Contribute to department goals and drive cost control and productivity.
