Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transmission Line Project Engineer in Fargo, North Dakota to join our national Power Delivery team. You will lead technical execution of high voltage projects from 69kV to 500kV, guiding teams and coordinating with the PM to keep scope, schedule, and budget on track.

You will mentor EITs and designers, ensure HDR QMS compliance, and collaborate across locations to deliver high-quality transmission line solutions for diverse clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license recognized by the licensing board for the position location.
• Experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector.
• Proficiency with Power Market Sector design software (PLS-CADD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, AutoPipe, Revit).
• Active participation in HDR's employee-owned culture is expected.

Responsibilities

• Leads overall technical direction of projects.
• Scope and schedule support to the PM, including WBS development and change management.
• Budget support to the PM for proposals and progress assessment.
• Lead multiple projects concurrently across locations.
• Understand and implement HDR QMS requirements to deliver quality products.
• Coordinate with operations leaders and PM for resource planning.
• Mentor and supervise junior engineers or designers as needed.
