Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group, LLC is seeking a Design Engineer I to design, analyze and document high‑voltage transmission projects. You will work with transmission line teams to ensure safe, reliable delivery and support construction and maintenance activities with industry standards.

Collaboration with engineers and CAD specialists is essential to deliver right‑first‑time designs on schedule. This role requires a ABET‑accredited engineering degree, proficiency in CAD tools, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, ArcGIS, or similar CAD tools.
• Understanding of design codes such as NESC, IEEE, ANSI, IBC.

Responsibilities

• Support overhead transmission line design including PLS-CADD modeling, line routing and loading trees.
• Perform structure analysis, sag-tension calculations, and pole loading assessments.
• Create scaled drawings using AutoCAD, MicroStation, and ArcGIS.
• Apply design criteria and engineer redlines with precision before final drafting.
• Ensure compliance with NESC, IEEE, ANSI, IBC and local codes.
• Maintain detailed project documentation and engineer calculations.
• Travel up to 10% of time as needed.
• Standard work week is 40 hours, with potential overtime.
