Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group, LLC in Boise, Idaho seeks a Design Engineer I to join our transmission line team. You will contribute to the safe, reliable design, analysis and support of high-voltage infrastructure projects, using CAD tools and established design codes.

This entry-level role offers growth opportunities within a multidisciplinary engineering group. The position requires a Civil/Structural or Mechanical engineering degree (ABET-accredited), familiarity with AutoCAD,

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in Civil/Structural or Mechanical engineering.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation and ArcGIS.
• Knowledge of design codes such as NESC, IEEE, ANSI, IBC.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Support overhead transmission line design including PLS-CADD modeling and line routing.
• Perform structure analysis, sag-tension calculations and pole loading assessments.
• Apply design criteria and maintain accurate engineering calculations.
• Prepare joint use authorizations from field data and redlines.
• Ensure compliance with codes and standards during design work.
• Collaborate with engineers and project teams to implement solutions.
• Maintain project documentation and calculations.
