Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group, LLC is seeking a Design Engineer I to support overhead transmission line design, using CAD tools and engineering calculations to ensure code-compliant deliverables. You will contribute to line routing, structure analysis, and drafting revisions in a fast-paced energy infrastructure environment.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in civil/structural or mechanical engineering (ABET-accredited) and familiarity with NESC, IEEE, ANSI, and IBC codes.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited program in Civil/Structural or Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficiency with CAD tools (AutoCAD, MicroStation, ArcGIS).
• Understanding of design codes such as NESC, IEEE, ANSI, IBC.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Support overhead transmission line design including PLS-CADD modeling, line routing, structure analysis and loading trees.
• Use CAD software for scaled drawings and mapping; implement engineering redlines with precision.
• Perform engineering calculations (voltage drop, pole loading, etc.) and support documentation.
• Prepare joint utility use authorizations from field data and redlines; ensure regulatory compliance.
