QISG in Draper, UT is seeking a Design Engineer I to support the safe, reliable delivery of power through overhead transmission line design. You will design, build, maintain, and upgrade high‑voltage infrastructure using CAD tools to produce accurate drawings and analyses.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil/Structural or Mechanical ABET‑accredited degree, are proficient with AutoCAD/MicroStation/ArcGIS, and can travel up to 10% to meet project needs.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, ArcGIS or similar CAD tools.
• Knowledge of design codes such as NESC, IEEE, ANSI, IBC.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Responsabilidades

• Support overhead transmission line design including PLS-CADD modeling, line routing and structure analysis.
• Prepare scaled drawings and mappings with CAD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, ArcGIS).
• Implement engineering redlines and ensure drafting accuracy prior to release.
• Perform calculations such as voltage drop, sag-tension, and pole loading assessments.
• Produce joint utility use authorizations from field data and redlines.
