Zusammenfassung

ArborMetrics is seeking a Transmission Forester to join our outdoor vegetation management team. The role focuses on field patrols, habitat reviews, and stakeholder engagement across energy corridors while ensuring client standards and safety protocols are followed.

You will classify vegetation needs, perform risk assessments, and coordinate with landowners and contractors. A forestry or related degree plus field experience and GIS proficiency are preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in forestry, natural resources, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in forestry, arboriculture, horticulture or tree-related industries preferred.
• Knowledge of tree identification and GIS tools is a plus.
• Proficient with common computer applications and ability to learn new programs.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to work alone outdoors in varying weather and terrain.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills.

Aufgaben

• Pre-Patrol Preparation: organize records, maps, and paperwork for patrol circuits and keep documentation accurate.
• Field Patrol Duties: patrol energy corridors, identify vegetation for pruning/removal, apply herbicide as needed, and perform risk assessments.
• Landowner & Stakeholder Engagement: identify property boundaries, communicate plans, obtain permissions, provide customer service.
• Vegetation Management & Compliance: recommend sustainable strategies using IVM, audit contractor work, document outages, address issues.
• Coordination & Safety: coordinate non-routine work, report hazards, follow safety protocols and travel to sites.
• Additional Responsibilities: participate in storm and emergency response, perform other duties.
