Job summary

ArborMetrics Solutions is seeking a Transmission Forester to join our field team in the Massachusetts area. You will patrol energy corridors, assess vegetation, and apply ISA pruning techniques while engaging with landowners and agencies.

The role requires a forestry/natural resources background, GIS and MS Office proficiency, and the ability to work outdoors in varied conditions. We offer comprehensive benefits and a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in forestry, natural resources, or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in forestry, arboriculture, horticulture or tree-related green industry preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Experience with GIS software/technology as well as Microsoft Office and an iPhone.
• Must be able to work alone outdoors in varying weather and terrain.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with strong problem solving and multi-tasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Patrol Preparation: organize records, maps, and paperwork; review sites for habitats and vegetation.
• Field Patrol Duties: safely patrol energy corridors, identify vegetation for pruning/removal, and assess tree risk.
• Landowner & Stakeholder Engagement: identify boundaries, communicate plans, obtain permissions, provide customer service.
• Coordination & Safety: coordinate with stakeholders, follow safety protocols, travel to sites.
• Additional Responsibilities: participate in storm/emergency response; perform other duties.
