ArborMetrics AMS is seeking a Transmission Forester to join our vegetation management team. The role involves outdoor field patrols, site assessments, and vegetation control along energy corridors, with opportunities to participate in safety, compliance, and community engagement initiatives.

The position requires an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in forestry or natural resources (or equivalent experience), strong GIS and Microsoft Office skills, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in forestry, natural resources, or related discipline (education may be required depending on client contract)
• Experience in forestry, arboriculture, horticulture or tree-related green industry preferred
• Knowledge of tree identification and GIS software/technology

Responsabilités

• Pre-Patrol Preparation: organize records, maps, and paperwork; maintain documentation.
• Field Patrol Duties: patrol energy corridors on foot; identify vegetation for pruning, removal, or protection; assess tree risk and growth rates.
• Landowner & Stakeholder Engagement: identify property boundaries; communicate work plans; obtain permissions; provide professional customer service.
• Vegetation Management & Compliance: recommend sustainable strategies; audit contractor work; investigate outages; address service and compliance issues.
• Coordination & Safety: coordinate non-routine work; report safety concerns; follow safety protocols; operate vehicles and travel to sites.
• Additional Responsibilities: participate in storm response; perform other duties as assigned.
