Job summary

ArborMetrics is seeking a Transmission Forester to proactively patrol vegetation along energy corridors, assess tree risk, and define pruning or removal actions. You will work outdoors, often alone, following client standards and ANSI guidelines to ensure safety and reliability.

The role requires a degree in forestry or related fields or equivalent experience, familiarity with GIS and Microsoft Office, and strong communication with landowners and agencies. A company vehicle is provided.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in forestry or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in forestry, arboriculture, horticulture, or tree-related green industry preferred.
• Knowledge of tree identification and GIS/Microsoft Suite proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Safely patrol energy corridors and identify vegetation needing pruning, removal, or protection.
• Classify prescribed work per field conditions and ANSI guidelines.
• Conduct Tree Risk Assessments and analyze growth rates.
• Coordinate with landowners and agencies to obtain permissions and provide professional customer service.
