Job summary

HDR is seeking a national Transmission EPC Principal within our Power Delivery Practice to be part of our national Alternative Delivery leadership team. You will drive collaboration between HDR’s power delivery staff and construction partners, focusing on technical bid development, estimating, and transitioning projects from pursuit to execution.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil and/or Mechanical Engineering, PE license, PMP, and 10+ years of

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil and/or Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional Engineering License.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in transmission design.
• Minimum 5 years leading EPC project teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Pursuit Champion on Transmission EPC projects.
• Transition awarded projects to Project Manager and execution team.
• Facilitate risk analysis, preliminary routing and BOM takeoff support.
• Lead scope, schedule and budget development for AD projects.
• Coordinate with land survey, geotechnical, environmental and GIS teams.
• Assist in FEED development and standing up project teams.
• Develop templates, standards, and templates for EPC pursuits and projects.
• Mentor and lead project teams and responsible staff.
