Job summary

Think Power Solutions is seeking a knowledgeable Transmission Construction Representative to oversee contractor performance on electric transmission projects, from upgrades to new substations. You will ensure adherence to contract terms, safety standards, and design specs while maintaining schedules.

The role requires 6+ years of relevant line and substation experience, a background in utilities, and strong leadership with the ability to guide engineers and contractors.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant transmission line and substation work experience required.
• Associate’s degree in construction management or engineering is a plus.
• Experience working in the utility industry is highly preferred.
• Compliance management experience is a plus.
• Proficient at using a computer, iPad and Microsoft Office products.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must currently be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Oversee contractor performance and ensure compliance with contract terms.
• Monitor safe completion of work in line with design specs and safety standards.
• Manage projects from substation upgrades to new substations construction.
• Identify issues impacting timelines, quality or safety and help resolve them.
• Interpret engineering drawings and guide their application in construction.
• Ensure compliance with Owner construction standards and safety terms.
• Lead independently while mentoring junior Transmission Construction Representatives.
