Transdev is seeking a Transit Safety Manager to develop and oversee location safety programs in Sussex, Delaware. The role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and leads safety initiatives, risk assessments, incident investigations, and operator training.

The position emphasizes strong leadership, continuous improvement, and collaboration with regulatory agencies to protect employees, passengers, and the public.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Occupational Safety, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years’ supervisory or leadership experience.
• Thorough knowledge of transit safety regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, maintain, and evaluate safety policies and procedures.
• Monitor compliance with FTA, DOT, OSHA, and state regulations.
• Coordinate annual safety program reviews and updates.
• Provide training and driver/operator instruction.
• Manage drug & alcohol program and incident investigations.
• Lead safety audits, hazard assessments, and corrective actions.
• Serve as liaison with regulators and auditors.
