Job summary

Transdev is hiring a Transit Safety Manager in East Hartford, CT to lead location safety programs and drive regulatory compliance for FTA, OSHA, DOT, and state rules. You will develop policies, coordinate safety reviews, conduct incident investigations, and provide training across operations, while managing audits, records, and emergency response planning.

The role requires leadership, strong analytical skills, and ability to work with clients and regulators. Travel >15% may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience with SMS and regulatory compliance programs desired.
• Proven leadership and training material development experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate safety policies and procedures.
• Coordinate annual safety program reviews and updates.
• Conduct incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Deliver classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction per PDOP.
• Maintain training records and audit readiness.
