Qualifications

• AGE/CITIZENSHIP: At least 21 years of age and a citizen of the United States.
• EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a GED certificate recognized by the State of Maryland.

Responsibilities

• Must pass an oral interview; demonstrate ability to communicate orally and in writing; undergo comprehensive background investigation, polygraph, and psychological evaluation.
• Must be medically fit to perform duties and able to work variable shifts and pass drug/alcohol screening.
• The incumbent must be able to operate as a sworn officer and meet minimum standards of training per the Maryland Police Training and Standards Commission.
