The Maryland Transit Administration is seeking a lateral Police Officer to serve across its Bus, Metro, Light Rail, and MARC Train/Commuter Bus systems. Current certification as a Police Officer from the Maryland Police Training and Standards Commission (MPTSC) is required.
The role requires 40 hours per week with variable shifts, including evenings, holidays, and weekends. Applicants must be US citizens, 21+, and hold a valid Maryland driver’s license; driving record must meet MTA standards.

Salary: Credited salary ranges up to 9 years of service, starting at $77,150 and reaching $103,518. Benefits include a retirement and benefits package as a member of LEOPS.
Employees must adhere to all safety rules, policies, regulations, and personal protective equipment requirements. Refrain from willful violations of safety rules, reckless and negligent behavior, criminal activities, and misuse of drugs or alcohol. Disciplinary action may be taken up to and including termination. Employees must hold appropriate safety training for assigned duties.
