Job summary

Maryland Transit Administration is seeking a Certified Police Officer to join its team serving MTA Bus, Metro, Light Rail, and MARC Train/Commuter Bus systems. Candidates must already hold a certification from the Maryland Police Training and Standards Commission (MPTSC) or an equivalent out-of-state/federal credential.

Qualifications

• Must possess Maryland Police Training and Standards Commission (MPTSC) certification or equivalent out-of-state/federal credential.
• High school diploma or GED required from an accredited institution.
• Documentation: current driving record, high school diploma/GED, and driver’s license.
• Recertification within 1–5 years after separation from prior department/agency may be required.
• Must pass background, polygraph, psychological evaluation, drug/alcohol screening, and medical examination.
