Job summary

Via in Rochester, MN is hiring a Road Supervisor to oversee service operations for public transit. You will supervise drivers, train new hires, support riders, and de-escalate conflicts, while stepping in as a driver when needed.

This full-time, in-person role requires 40–45 hours weekly with variable shifts including evenings and weekends. You’ll lead safety procedures, perform inspections, and collaborate with a broad team to scale operations and improve passenger experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in transportation services or similar industry.
• At least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Hold CDL with Passenger Endorsement and a clean driving record.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with tablets and standard office software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct driver evaluations and provide coaching to improve service quality.
• Develop and implement training programs for drivers.
• Handle customer service issues and resolve complaints.
• Prioritize operational issues as the point of contact and propose solutions.
• Go to the scene of incidents to manage processes and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with teams to scale operations and safety practices.
