Job summary

MV Transportation is seeking an Operations Manager in California to lead the location’s daily transportation contract operations. You will guide on-time performance, driver availability, call center functions and customer relations, while mentoring staff and ensuring safety and policy compliance.

The role requires 1–3 years of management experience in a paratransit setting, scheduling and training expertise, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of management experience in a paratransit environment
• Experience in scheduling and personnel management and training
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of contractual obligations and company policy
• Trapeze experience preferred
• Experience managing a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Effectively manage on-time performance and driver availability
• Effectively manage all call center functions
• Effectively manage customer relations through direct contact and outreach programs
• Identify, select, train and mentor location staff
• Communicate with location staff and support team members
• Oversee safety and training programs to ensure compliance with requirements
• Maintain the safety culture of the division
• Maintain client contact to meet or exceed expectations
• Assist with departmental audits
• Review key operational metrics daily, weekly and monthly
• Implement and adhere to company policies and procedures
• Participate in location labor and employee relations activities
