Job summary

MV Transportation is seeking an Assistant General Manager to provide leadership and direction to assigned operating personnel, ensuring delivery of the division business plan in a fast-paced transit environment.

The role requires overseeing performance indicators, budgeting, training, and ensuring compliance with policies, regulations, and quality standards while promoting MV Transportation's vision and culture across operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; collegedegree preferred.
• Certifications according to local contract as required.
• Knowledge of State and Federal regulations as well as company policies and procedures.
• Experience in development of runs, shift bids and run cuts.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to lead others.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and direction to assigned operating personnel to deliver the division business plan.
• Oversees performance indicators to meet client and corporate expectations.
• Ensures division goals are met and staff are trained for success.
• Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Promotes MV Transportation's vision, values and culture across operations.
• Manages budgets and oversees the Operations Department annual budget.
• Directly oversees operations department managers and mentors future successors.
• Assumes responsibility of the General Manager during absences.
