Job summary

MV Transportation in Phoenix seeks an Assistant General Manager to provide leadership and direction to assigned operations staff, ensuring delivery of the division business plan in a fast-paced transit environment.

The role requires 3+ years in Operations Manager/AGM roles, a high school diploma (college degree preferred), and knowledge of relevant regulations. HASTUS experience is a plus, with responsibilities including budget management and succession planning.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 3 years in Operations Manager or Assistant General Manager roles overseeing a transit property or similar size operation.
• High School diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• Knowledge of State and Federal regulations and company policies/procedures.
• Experience with development of runs, shift bids, and run cuts.
• Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead others to success.
• Ability to write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to assigned operating personnel to ensure delivery of the division business plan.
• Ensure performance indicators meet client and corporate expectations.
• Meet or exceed division goals and objectives.
• Ensure staff are well trained and successful.
• Ensure company policies and procedures are followed.
• Promote the company vision, values and culture across operations.
• Manage the Operations Department annual budget.
• Oversee operations department managers and train successors.
• Possibly serve as General Manager in their absence.
• Prefer candidate with HASTUS experience.
