Job summary

MV Transportation is seeking a General Manager for the San Rafael location to lead daily operations, drive the annual business plan, and ensure service delivery in accordance with the contracting agency and company procedures.

You will manage customer relations, hire and mentor staff, oversee fleet maintenance, safety programs, and audits while maintaining strong communication with the support team and clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in operations management and 7 years in transit management leadership.
• Experience with labor/union negotiations/expenses.
• Understanding of dispatch, scheduling, and DOT/FTA compliance.
• Strong MS Office, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer relations and outreach programs.
• Identify, train, and mentor location staff.
• Communicate with location staff and support teams.
• Oversee vehicle maintenance and fleet availability.
• Oversee safety and training programs per requirements.
• Maintain client contact to meet or exceed expectations.
• Review key operational metrics daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Ensure location financial metrics are managed and budgets met.
