Transdev Services, Inc. is seeking an Assistant General Manager to plan, direct, and evaluate operations for the Boston Public Schools transportation contract.

Responsibilities include supervising operators, scheduling drivers, and delivering daily operational reports to maintain on-time performance. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with a bachelor’s degree preferred, and 5 years of management or 2 years in passenger transport management.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred for advanced duties.
• Minimum 5 years of management experience or 2 years in passenger transportation management.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work shifts or flexible schedules as needed.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Solid knowledge of public management theories and transportation operations.
• Must pass DOT drug testing where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of operators and coordinate with supervisors and dispatch.
• Oversee scheduling of drivers, dispatchers, and supervisors.
• Provide daily operational reports and monitor KPIs.
• Monitor budgets and report variances to leadership.
• Ensure on-time performance and proper vehicle availability in collaboration with maintenance.
• Identify process improvements and route efficiencies.
• Maintain confidentiality of company information and foster positive union relationships.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
