Job summary

Transdev is seeking a Senior Safety Manager – Compliance for its Boston Public Schools transportation contract. The role centers on providing operational safety, service quality, and regulatory compliance for BPS, schools, students, and families.

The position includes responsibilities for safety programs, investigations, and reporting, with leadership of the Safety and Training Department and DriveCam oversight. Equal employment opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required and satisfactory driving history.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred in Business/Public Administration or related field.
• Massachusetts CDL/School Bus endorsements preferred.
• Five years of passenger transit safety or training experience requested.
• Four years of supervisory experience in safety or training requested.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety incidents and investigations and report to leadership.
• Manage site Safety and Training Department including training schedules and documentation.
• Oversee DriveCam program to increase safety and reduce incidents.
• Manage Safety Desk and Road Safety Supervisors for incident response.
• Ensure reporting tools like WebRisk are up to date.
• Conduct safety evaluations and inspections to mitigate risk.
• Coordinate accident hearings and drive safety compliance.
• Ensure contracts meet applicable regulations and documentation is maintained.
