Job summary

Transdev Services, Inc. in Boston seeks a Senior Safety Manager – Compliance to oversee safety, operations compliance, and service quality for the Boston Public Schools transportation program.

The role leads the Safety and Training Department and partners with leadership to ensure DOT/FMCSA/OSHA/EPA/ADA compliance across operations. The position is exempt and based in Boston, with responsibility for risk management, incident reviews, and ongoing driver training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Public Administration, or related field.
• Five years of experience in passenger transit safety or training.
• Four years of supervisory experience in passenger transit safety or training.
• Driver training experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees all safety incidents and investigations and enforces policies.
• Manages the Safety and Training Department operations.
• Oversees the DriveCam program to increase safety awareness.
• Manages Safety Desk and Road Safety Supervisors for incidents.
• Ensures reporting and risk management tools are up to date.
• Conducts evaluations and inspections to mitigate risk and loss potential.
• Reviews accident information and coordinates Accident Review Committee hearings.
• Communicates company safety programs, rules, and tools.
• Ensures contract compliance with applicable regulations and documentation.
• Holds regular safety meetings and maintains documentation.
