HTA is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to help coordinate daily transit operations across all systems. The role supports the Operations Manager, supervises staff, and maintains safe, reliable service while addressing emergencies and service disruptions.

The position involves after-hours on-call duties, collaboration with dispatch, and ensuring performance standards and customer-focused operations are met. A strong background in transit operations and leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in administration and operation of public transportation systems.
• Knowledge of safety procedures, laws, and regulations applicable to transit.
• Strong leadership, supervision, and personnel management skills.
• Ability to plan, direct and optimize transit operations and staffing.

Responsibilities

• Assist in management and coordination of daily transit operations.
• Provide oversight to supervisors and lead employees.
• Monitor service levels, staffing, vehicle availability, and on-time performance.
• Coordinate with dispatch and other departments to resolve issues.
• Assist with driver bids, schedules, and route maps as needed.
• Support budgeting and resource planning for the department.
• Respond to emergencies, incidents, and customer or employee concerns.
