Job summary

MTM Transit is seeking an experienced Manager, Operations to lead daily transit services, supervise drivers and dispatchers, and drive safety and performance. The role focuses on delivering compliant, reliable transportation while developing staff and strengthening client relationships across contract operations.

You will oversee staffing, coaching, and performance management, ensuring adherence to ADA, DOT, and FTA standards, and support ongoing service expansion efforts nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years of transit management experience.
• Experience supervising employees in a transportation or service delivery environment.
• Experience managing operational performance, staffing, and service delivery.
• Experience conducting employee training and development activities.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of drivers, dispatchers, and other operations personnel.
• Manage daily transit operations to ensure safe, efficient, and effective service delivery.
• Monitor staffing levels, attendance, scheduling, expenditures, and employee performance.
• Administer coaching, corrective action, performance management, and employee development initiatives.
• Conduct monthly safety meetings and reinforce company safety standards.
• Coordinate employee training, retraining, and policy updates to ensure regulatory and operational compliance.
• Perform driver evaluations in accordance with contract requirements and ADA, DOT, and FTA standards.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and collaboration.
• Support clients with operational updates, reporting, process improvements, and system enhancements.
• Analyze operational performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, company policies, and applicable regulations.
• Participate in startup activities, service expansions, and business growth initiatives as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
