Job summary

HDR, Inc. seeks a Project Field Engineer to support on-site construction management for a major LA transit project. You will review budgets, manage submittals, and coordinate document control to ensure compliance with contract requirements.

Under supervision of a CM and Resident Engineer, you will prepare technical reports, assist with change orders, and support safety and schedule adherence across rail, bus facilities, and highways projects in a fast-paced, employee-owned environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or closely related field.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and SharePoint.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong people skills and teamwork oriented.

Responsibilities

• Understand and manage contract budgets, monitor costs and prepare reports.
• Review submittals, RFIs, RFCs, design submittals and related documents.
• Coordinate document control and change processes across the project.
• Ensure compliance with plans, specifications, schedule, budget, safety, and regulations.
• Assist in preparing contract changes and closeout documentation.
