Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Construction Manager/Resident Engineer in California to lead subcontractor coordination, scheduling, and quality control for rail transit substations in the Northern Bay Area.

You will develop procedures, review terms, and manage procurement and construction performance with the project team. The role requires strong people skills, extensive experience in planning and management, and a commitment to HDR’s employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of construction planning/management experience including contracts, scheduling, cost control and safety.
• Experience with construction management software such as Procore, Prolog, Primavera, Bluebeam, etc.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate subcontractor activities and scheduling for rail transit substations in the Northern CA Bay Area.
• Develop and implement construction management procedures with the project team.
• Prepare procurement scopes, bids, and constructability/value engineering reviews.
• Administer construction activities and monitor progress vs. design.
