Job summary

HDR is providing Construction Management Support Services for the LACMTA Vermont Transit Corridor and related projects in Los Angeles. The Assistant Resident Engineer will assist in administering contracts, ensuring compliance with specs, and supporting documentation and payments.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management, at least five years of transit project experience, and strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or closely related field.
• Experience using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and strong verbal and written communication.
• Minimum five years of experience in Construction or Construction Management of transit projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist in administration of construction contracts and reviews of work to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
• Monitor project safety, schedule progress, and maintain project records and cost tracking.
• Prepare contract change orders and assist with coordination among agencies and contractors.
