Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking experienced CMSS professionals for Los Angeles County transit projects.

The role focuses on managing design reviews, construction management, and contract administration for rail and bus facilities in a major BRT program. Ideal candidates have a strong background in construction management for transit, possess an EIT or PE license, and can navigate regulatory requirements with a proactive problem-solving approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or closely related field.
• Five years of experience in Construction or Construction Management of transit projects.
• Valid California Class C driver's license.
• Transit experience is desirable.
• Contractor experience (Project Manager, Superintendent, Engineer) desirable.
• City of Los Angeles and/or CONAD experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in administration of construction contracts and review work for compliance.
• Monitor progress, budgets, and documentation per contract requirements.
• Prepare change orders and address field conditions with engineering solutions.
• Review schedules, vendor correspondence, and progress meetings; support weekly status updates.
• Support with construction safety, quality control, and project documentation.
