Job summary

Keolis America, Inc. is seeking a dispatcher with transit industry experience to manage driver shifts, assignments, and coverage for a multi-county service area including DC. The role requires a CDL, strong English communication, and flexibility for nights and weekends.

Qualified candidates will coordinate with operators, prepare manifests, monitor TRS/AVL systems, and maintain documentation while ensuring safe, on-time service delivery in a union environment.

Qualifications

• Must be over 21 years of age.
• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• CDL Class B or A with Passenger and Airbrakes endorsements.
• Must be dependable with reliable transportation.
• Strong knowledge of the service area (Multi County area including DC).
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ensure each driver reports at scheduled start times.
• Arrange coverage for call-offs within driver staffing.
• Prepare and print manifests prior to check-in.
• Make bus assignments and ensure on-time departures.
• Maintain dispatch logs and complete documentation.
• Communicate clearly in writing and verbally in English.
• Provide clients with location and ETA information.
• Make cost-effective, operational decisions on trips and resources.
• Monitor transit radio system and AVL to optimize utilization.
• Perform administrative duties such as calls and filing.
